Advent International acquires the stakes of Portobello Capital and Vista Capital in MAXAM
The international private equity firm Advent International has announced today that a final agreement has been reached to acquire shares representing 49.998% of MAXAM‘s shareholding up until today from Vista Capital and Portobello Capital.

50.002% of the company’s share capital remains in the hands of the managing team, represented by its Chairman & CEO, José F. Sánchez-Junco. The deal is subject to the approval of the corresponding authorities since MAXAM is in a regulated sector. The amount of the transaction has not been made public.
Mr José F Sánchez-Junco has declared that “MAXAM enthusiastically initiates this new stage, with the support of Advent International as a shareholder, which will give the company new and great opportunities to increase and consolidate the company’s leading position in the global markets”.
“In a current economic environment of great uncertainties, we see in MAXAM a future with great challenges, but also full of opportunities of growth due to our geographical diversification, with a wide range of products and services that, joined with our constant efforts of innovation and technological development, will allow us to improve our clients’ value chain” he added.
