Stock Uno, acquires CTC Externalización

2013/04/03

STOCK UNO, Investee Company of PORTOBELLO CAPITAL, has acquired CTC EXTERNALIZACIÓN with the intention of securing and increasing its leading position in the commercial and industrial outsourcing services business in the Spanish and Portuguese markets. The integration of both companies will represent yearly sales of above 130 million euro and an average workforce of over 6,000 people, with headquarters in Madrid and Barcelona and subsidiaries in all Autonomous Regions. This is the fifth acquisition carried out by STOCK UNO in the sector since the beginning of this Project lead by its CEO, Mr. Alberto Muguiro, and the Private Equity Managing Company PORTOBELLO CAPITAL. CW Downer has advised STOCK UNO on this transaction, as well as the lawyers’ office Lexworld.

CTC EXTERNALIZACIÓN, founded in 1995, has developed a substantial presence in various industries such as Energy, Automotive, Food, Technology, Industry and Services within major multinational and national companies, several of them belonging to Ibex-35. Its 2,500 employees are spread across Catalonia, Madrid, Basque Country and the Mediterranean coast. Mr Juan Cruz Alcalde, CEO, stays as shareholder in Stock Uno and will continue to manage CTC, being part of its Board of Directors and its recently constituted Integration Committee.

STOCK UNO has quadrupled its volume of sales in the last 6 years, since the MBI financed by PORTOBELLO CAPITAL took place, and hopes to keep this profitable growth trend once this new purchase is executed. The acquisition of CTC EXTERNALIZACIÓN will result in an improvement of the offer and quality of service for its clients, from now on all over the Spanish geography and Portugal.

Juan Luis Ramírez, Partner of PORTOBELLO, showed his satisfaction after completing this transaction, “we have finally managed to align different interests to acquire 100% of CTC’s equity, a company with an impressive growth trend and excellent service, and leader in the “industrial outsourcing” subsector that keeps on growing even during this economic downturn”.
